Synthetic data. Not for real client documents. DocsDue is a demo on a fixed fictional dataset.

DocsDue Demo

For UK accountancy practices · VAT returns

Know which client documents are still missing, and chase them without the busywork.

DocsDue reads the documents a client sends for their VAT return, checks each one against what the period needs, and drafts the chase email for anything still missing. A person approves the exact message. It opens in their own mailbox, and they press Send.

Sample data throughout. What you do in the demo stays in your browser tab and resets. Nothing is saved or sent.

The review queue in the demo. Lanes count the sample cases by what they need; each row is one made-up client's case, with its state in a word or two; the selected case sits beside the list. Every client, document and date here is made up.

How it works

  1. Documents in

The client uploads statements and invoices through a private link.

  2. Checked

Each document is read, and its dates, names and totals are checked against the document's own words.

Evidence review in a sample case: a statement from the wrong year, set against the quarter it was asked for, with the reason it is excluded.
  3. Missing items found

A checklist for the period shows what is complete, what is missing and what needs a person, with the reason.

  4. Chase drafted, approved and sent by you

The chase is built only from the checklist, never from document text. You approve the exact message; it opens pre-filled in your own Gmail or mail app; you press Send.

Screenshot of a chase draft's proof chain in the demo after approving it: drafted, then approved with the approver, the time and the full message fingerprint; not opened in Gmail or reported sent; and the note that opening Gmail is not proof of sending.

What this is, honestly

What it is

  • This is a hands-on demo on sample data: 21 made-up cases covering common document-checking scenarios for a VAT quarter, each built from one of the product's own test fixtures. The sample dataset was built on 15 October 2026.
  • In the demo you can accept or reject a document, waive an item, answer a question, and draft and approve a chase. What you do stays in your browser tab and resets when you reload or press Reset demo: nothing is saved or sent, and you cannot change what other visitors see.
  • The 21 scenarios are common ones, not every situation a practice meets. One is labelled as a known limit of the product.
  • The system never sends email. In the real product a person sends every chase from their own mailbox; in this demo nothing can be sent at all.

What it is not

  • It is not deployed to any firm, and no firm is using it.
  • It is an early project, not production-ready, and it holds no security certification or compliance accreditation.
